As part of the Lake Chad Basin Conservation Project, funded by Global Affairs Canada, a technical assistance mission was carried out from February 27 to March 7, 2025, in the northern Cameroonian communities of Pette, Maga, Pouss, and Guirvidig.

This assistance aimed to support eleven local organizations that received micro-grants by helping them structure their projects, finalize their activity plans, develop detailed timelines, and prepare tailored budgets.

By the end of the mission, each organization had validated a concrete action plan, centered on clearly defined priorities and supported by a coherent budget framework. The mission also helped strengthen their project management capacities, particularly in technical and financial monitoring.

This type of support is part of the project’s broader approach to reinforcing local initiatives, building community resilience, and promoting the sustainable management of natural resources in the Lake Chad Basin.
